Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- Results of the continuous combat against wanted persons in PRO MIMAROPA under the stewardship of PCSUPT DENNIS JURILLA PEÑA, Acting Regional Director yielded to 64 arrests in a 10-day police operations from March 1-10, 2015 region wide.
The successful police operations launched against the wanted criminals, to whom warrant of arrest has been issued by the competent authority was due to the concerted efforts exerted by the police personnel of PRO MIMAROPA , members of the Regional Support Units and other Law Enforcement Agencies under the stern supervision of PSSUPT MARCELO CASABUENA MORALES, Chief, Regional Directorial Staff and the concurrent Chairman of Regional Committee on Wanted Person who closely supervises the accomplishments of all the Police Provincial Offices and City Police Office in line with the Letter of Instruction 03/11 MANHUNT CHARLIE in a weekly basis through the Office of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.
Out of the 64 wanted persons arrested, twenty (20) came from the province of Oriental Mindoro, five (5) from the province of Occidental Mindoro, three (3) from Marinduque, eighteen (18) from the province of Romblon, seventeen (17) from the province of Palawan and one (1) from Puerto Princesa City.
Odious crimes committed by those arrested criminals were Homicide, Frustrated Homicide, Frustrated Murder, Theft, Robbery, Rape in Relation to RA 7610, Acts of Lasciviousness, Violation of PD 1602, Serious, Estafa, Physical Injury and Rape.
With these triumphant accomplishments of PRO MIMAROPA, it is still believe that the best deterrent against crime is the certainty of arrest and conviction of criminals thus will eventually reduce the number of criminals who roam the streets ready to pounce on unwitting and defenseless citizenry thus further contribute in the development of peaceful community.
