Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- The officers and men of PRO MIMAROPA joined the members of Tamaraw Lodge # 65 Free and Accepted Masons, Calapan Chapter for the mangrove tree planting along the seashore of Mahal na Pangalan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro at about 7:00 AM of April 20, 2013 during the National Earth Day Celebration.
The said activity was organized by t he Tamaraw Lodge # 65 Free and Accepted Masons, Calapan Chapter headed by Worshipful Master Rey Maliwanag and other members with their respective wives and children. Three hundred (300) mangrove trees were planted on the said shoreline while the remaining one thousand seven hundred (1700) will be planted on June 2013 during the celebration of Environment Month.
PRO MIMAROPA’s personnel present during the said activity were PSUPT TIRSO LANDINGIN, Chief, Regional Human Rights Affairs Office, PSUPT IMELDA V TOLENTINO, Chief, Regional Public Information Office and the concurrent Chief of Women and Children Protection Desk, PSUPT JAYCEES DS TOLENTINO, Group Director, Provincial Public Safety Company, SPO4 Romeo P Cristobal, Regional Executive Senior Police Officer (RESPO), personnel of Highway Patrol Group and Mr. ALFREDO D LUPIG, Acting Head, Admin Division PDEA 4-B.
The participation of the families of the participants aims to teach children of the importance of the mangrove trees in the sea ecosystem.

Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- The father of PRO MIMAROPA, PCSUPT MELITO M MABILIN, was very much happy and proud when he heard the yelling of his children, the personnel of PRO MIMAROPA cheering for their respective teams during the opening of the Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at about 8:00 AM of April 16, 2013 at PRO MIMAROPA Grandstand, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
The said activity has indeed brought excitement to the officers and men of PRO MIMAROPA because after three long awaited years of not having any sport games in the region, PCSUPT MELITO M MABILIN, Regional Director PRO MIMAROPA supported with his command group namely, PCSUPT EDGAR L LAYON, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PSSUPT VIRGILIO C PARROCHA, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, and PSSUPT DANILO A BAUTISTA, Regional Chief, Directorial Staff, initiated the opening of the said event.
PCSUPT EDGAR L LAYON led the Oath of Sportsmanship for the ten (10) competing teams for the said basketball tournament, namely, the Administration Team, Operation Team, RHSG Team, RPSB Team, TSP Team, RIU/HPU Team, NSUs Team, Commel Team, Oriental Mindoro PPO Team, and Calapan City Police Station Team.
