Police Regional Office PRO MIMAROPA Joined the 114thAnniversary of the Independence Day Celebration PDF Print E-mail

On June 12, 2012 at 6:00 in the morning, Police Regional Office MIMAROPA joined in the commemoration of the 114thWreath_Laying1 Independence Day with this year’s theme: “Kalayaan, Pananagutanng Bayan Para saTuwidnaDaan”. The celebration started with Wreath Laying accorded to Hon Macario Gonzales Adriatico, a National Hero born in the City of Calapan at the Adriatico Memorial School, Leuterio St., San Vicente South, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. The activity was attended by PCSUPT EDGAR LAYESE LAYON, Ph.D. Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO MIMAROPA, together with other Commissioned Officers of PRO MIMAROPA and Oriental Mindoro PPO. Worshipful Master Roger King of Tamaraw Lodge Nr 65, the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines paid tribute to Hon Macario G Adriatico. He started his tribute by narratingthe heroe’sfamily history and his academic accomplishments. His conquest and heroic deed in fighting for our freedom was also remembered. At the end of the tribute, WM King thanked everyone for participating in the very significant activity.

 Further, they proceeded in front of the Admin Bldg. PRO 4B Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City for the conductflag_raising_on_independence_day of simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony spearheaded by PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALES HICBAN, PESE, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPAwith WORSHIPFUL MASTER ROGER KING of Tamaraw Lodge Nr 65 F&AM as Guest of Honor and Speaker. The ceremony was attended by the Command Group, Directorial Staff, Chiefs, RSU’s and PD, Oriental Mindoro PPO and all Commissioned, Non-Commissioned and Non-Uniform personnel of PRO MIMAROPA.The ceremony started with the mass singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by the invocation led by PSUPT MANUEL R DEUS. PSSUPT DENNIS J PEÑA, DRDO, PRO MIMAROPA, introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Worshipful Master Roger King expressed his gratitude to all the men and women of PRO MIMAROPA for inviting him as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his speech, he explained to the audience why our Independence Day is being celebrated every 12th of June and not every July 4th. He also encouraged everybody to be attentive in guarding our Worshipful_Master_Roger_King_freedom. In closing, he wished everyone a happy Independence Day.

The activity was highlighted by rendering tribute to the Philippine National Flag by PCINSP EFREN C ALARAS, Disbursing Officer, RFSO. The Poem of “Ako’y Isang Pulis” was recited by PINSP HAROLD D TOCINO of RID. Afterwhich, PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALES HICBAN PESE, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA read the message of the C, PNP for the celebration. In his message, the C, PNP greeted everyone a peaceful Independence Day. He encouraged all the Police officers nationwide to fulfill our sworn duty which is to serve and protect the community. He also encouraged everyone to the_regional_directoravoid being corrupted. The C, PNP also inspired everybody to provide excellent and prompt service in the fight against criminality.

PCSUPT ARTEMIO G HICBAN, PESE, Regional Director awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to Worshipful Master Roger King, PCINSP EFREN C ALARAS and Bro. Rolando P Lebumfacil, Historian, Tamaraw Lodge Nr 65, F&AM for their invaluable service rendered for the celebration of the 114th Independence Day.

The activity ended with the singing of the Pilipinas Kong Mahal.

tree_planting_on_independence_dayAt about 9:30 in the morning, tree planting activity was conducted at Barangay Mahal na Pangalan, Calapan City. As part of commemoration of the Independence Day and in compliance with the PulisMakakalikasan Program: 10 Milyong Puno Pamana sa Kinabukasan. A total of 228 personnel participated in the said activity and planted 7,430 mangroves. The activity ended at about 11:30 in the morning with fruitful result.
