Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City –PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALEZ HICBAN, PESE, Regional Director, ably represented by PCSUPT EDGAR LAYESE LAYON, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO MIMAROPA welcomed Hon. Antonio S Perez, Vice Mayor of Calapan City as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Kick Off Ceremony of 17^th Police Community Relations Month with the year’s theme: “Mamamayan at Kapulisan: Patuloy ang Ugnayan sa Higit na Ligtas, Mapayapa at Maunlad na Pamayanan” which coincided with the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held infront of Regional Headquarters Building, Camp E.C Navarro, Calapan City.

The highlight of the activity is the “Padyak para sa Kapayapaan at Mamamayan” which showcases the partnership of PNP and civilians in addressing criminality and maintenance of peace and order. The 24-km bike route within the periphery of Calapan City were participated by PRO MIMAROPA personnel led by PCSUPT EDGAR LAYESE LAYON, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Provincial/Local Chief Executives, NGO’s, NGA’s and other civilian bikers/guests.

Vice Mayor PEREZ, in his message lauded the PRO MIMAROPA personnel in performing their best and proving to the community that a police force is indeed commendable of the people’s trust and confidence.

 This month-long observance is mandated by Presidential Proclamation No. 764, which declares July month of every year as PCR Month with the NAPOLCOM as the lead agency. This celebration is an opportune time to enhance public awareness on their crucial role in crime prevention. It also serves as a vehicle in soliciting community support and participation to various programs of the PNP.
