|151 New Police Officer 1’s took oath at PRO MIMAROPA|
Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City –On July 2, 2012 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning, one hundred fifty one (151) new recruits composed of one hundred twenty eight (128) males and twenty three (23) females took their oath as Police Officer 1 (PO1) in simple ceremony held at PRO MIMAROPA Grandstand, Camp E. Navarro, Calapan City Oriental Mindoro.
The said ceremony was attended by Dr. MARGARITA R MONTEMAYOR, Regional Director, NAPOLCOM, and was joined by PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALES HICBAN, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA, ably represented PCSUPT EDGAR LAYESE LAYON, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, together with the Command Group/Directorial Staff, media practitioners, parents/love ones of the new PO1’s`. PSSUPT MICHAEL ISHIBASHI BAYSA, Chief, Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Division presented the recruits to PCSUPT LAYON who then accepted and officiated their oath of office.
In her message, Dr. Montemayor commended the PRO MIMAROPA particularly the Regional Screening Committee for maintaining the integrity in the selection process of the applicants. Also, she congratulated the successful applicants for passing the tedious process of application. The Regional Director challenged the new PO1’s to “have discipline and dedication, persistence and determination” to bring glory to the organization and the community as well.
Subsequently, PCSUPT EDGAR L LAYON delivered the inspirational message of Regional Director HICBAN, to quote “Bilang mga Bagong Pulis, lagi ninyong ikintal sa inyong mga isipan ang mga huwarang adhikain ng ating Pambansang Pulisya. Magsumikap kayong maging mga instrumento ng pagbabago at katuparan ng mga mithiing ito. Magsumikap kayo na sa bawat landas na inyong tatahakin, sa bawat pagsubok na inyong susuungin, at saanmang lugar kayo dalhin ng tadhana, lagi ninyong isabuhay ang mga pilosopiya o mga mithiin ng ating organisasyon. Malaki ang inyong gagampanang tungkulin sa pagpapanday ng isang huwarang Pambansang Pulisya na binubuo ng mararangal, mga propesyunal at mga matatapat na mga miyembro nito at isa kayo sa magiging bahagi ng mga pangarap na ito” unquote.The new Police Officers were transported to Regional Training School (RTS)-4 Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City, Quezon to undergo Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) wherein they are expected to learn the fundamental duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer. Afterwards, they will undergo On-the-Job Training (OJT) for another six (6) months as part of their one (1) year Public Field Training Program (PSFTP).
