Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- PRO MIMAROPA celebrated the 21st PNP Ethics Day Celebration with this year theme: “PNP leading the right path towards credible and noble service” with Director Cecilio Austria Ambid, Director II, CSC, Civil Service Field Office 4B as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at about 8:00 AM of February 9, 2015 in front of the Regional Headquarters, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
The said activity was highlighted with the awarding of awards to the deserving PNP personnel namely: Good were PINSP MIRASOL LIGUTAN ACAIN; SPO2 Villamor Dairo Rance, PO3 Adel Baldivia Pacañot, PO2 Theresita Apolona Salmorin, PO2 Maria Lindsay Vergara Hermida and PO2 Elmer John Gito Paniza for the Medalya ng Mabuting Asal for their conspicuous devotion and loyalty to the service for the period of five years (5) years without records of punishment, conviction or derogatory information.
Highlights of the event was the reading of Leader’s Integrity Pledge for Police Commissioned Officers led by PCSUPT RONALD ROMERO ESTILLES, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, and Individual’s Integrity Pledge for Police Non-Commissioned Officers led by SPO4 Romeo Pillas Cristobal, Regional Executive Senior Police Officer by the virtue of PNP Command Memorandum Circular (CMC) issued by PDDG LEONARDO ARIAS ESPINA, Officer-in-Charge, PNP on January 18, 2015 wherein it aims to ensure the total commitment of every PNP Personnel to live according to the highest standards for public officials and employees set forth in Republic Act No. 6713, known as the” Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for all Public Officials and Employees”.
Director Ambid was quoted in saying that, “the Pledges that you recited, is what it takes to be a good policemen, being a public servant, we are committed to public interest, we have to uphold the public interest above our personal interest, we need to perform our duties and responsibilities with the highest degree of excellence, act with justice and sincerity and most of all respect the rights of the others”.
The activity ended with the mass recitation of the PNP Badge of Honor officiated by PCSUPT RONALD ROMERO ESTILLES, DRDA for the one hundred eighty- eight (188) newly graduates Police Officer 1(PO1) as a symbol of legal authority as a worthiness as a Police Officer to serve and protect the people. PNP Badge of Honor is pursuant to the provisions of National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Resolution Number 2001-055 dated August 7, 2001 entitled “Approving the Amendment of the New Standard Specifications for the use of the PNP Non-Commissioned Officers”.
