Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- PRO MIMAROPA under the stewardship of PCSUPT DENNIS J PEÑA, Acting Regional Director inaugurated another standard and modern Municipal Police Station , a two-storey building in the municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro after receiving 1,000 square meter land donation from the local government unit. PSSUPT FLORENDO CAMPO QUIBUYEN, Provincial Director, Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office represented the Regional Director in the inauguration ceremony with Hon. Loreto S. Perez, Mayor, Municipality of Gloria, PSUPT THOMAS ROJO FRIAS JR., OIC, Regional Logistics and Resource Development Division and Local Government Officials at about 10:00 AM of February 24, 2015.

 

The construction of the modern two-storey building is in line with the PNP-Integrated Transformation Program-Performance Governance System (PNP-ITP-PGS) and was funded through PNP Appropriations executed by the PRO MIMAROPA Engineering Service headed by PSUPT EDDIE C SANTIAGO with Local Government Unit of Municipality of Gloria.

 

The municipality of Gloria is a third class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro. The town was formerly called Maligaya, which was renamed after the ten-year old daughter of the then President Diosdado Macapagal, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who later became the 14th President in 2001.

Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City –PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALEZ HICBAN, PESE, rds_cup_2012Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA, together with the Command Group and Directorial/Division Staff welcomed the Guest of Honor CONGRESSMAN REYNALDO V UMALI, 2nd District of Oriental Mindoro for the 1st Regional Director’s Cup last July 6 to 8, 2012 in cooperation with National Range Institute Area 5 and Wilson Gun Club held at MIMAROPA Firing Range, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

 The event was composed of six (6) courses of fire, two (2) courses of fire are exclusive for PNP personnel other four (4) are open to civilian shooters. Also, prior to the activity the Regional Public Safety Battalion led by PSSUPT RONALDO F DE JESUS, Battalion Commander/ Match Director initiatively conducted Range Management and Gun Safety Seminar for the facilitator in order to be equipped of knowledge during the said match at Conference Room, Oriental PPO, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro- PRO MIMAROPA celebrated the 21st PNP Ethics Day Celebration with this year theme: “PNP leading the right path towards credible and noble service” with Director Cecilio Austria Ambid, Director II, CSC, Civil Service Field Office 4B as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at about 8:00 AM of February 9, 2015 in front of the Regional Headquarters, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

 

The said activity was highlighted with the awarding of awards to the deserving PNP personnel namely: Good were PINSP MIRASOL LIGUTAN ACAIN; SPO2 Villamor Dairo Rance, PO3 Adel Baldivia Pacañot, PO2 Theresita Apolona Salmorin, PO2 Maria Lindsay Vergara Hermida and PO2 Elmer John Gito Paniza for the Medalya ng Mabuting Asal for their conspicuous devotion and loyalty to the service for the period of five years (5) years without records of punishment, conviction or derogatory information.

 

Highlights of the event was the reading of Leader’s Integrity Pledge for Police Commissioned Officers led by PCSUPT RONALD ROMERO ESTILLES, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, and Individual’s Integrity Pledge for Police Non-Commissioned Officers led by SPO4 Romeo Pillas Cristobal, Regional Executive Senior Police Officer by the virtue of PNP Command Memorandum Circular (CMC) issued by PDDG LEONARDO ARIAS ESPINA, Officer-in-Charge, PNP on January 18, 2015 wherein it aims to ensure the total commitment of every PNP Personnel to live according to the highest standards for public officials and employees set forth in Republic Act No. 6713, known as the” Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for all Public Officials and Employees”.

 

Director Ambid was quoted in saying that, “the Pledges that you recited, is what it takes to be a good policemen, being a public servant, we are committed to public interest, we have to uphold the public interest above our personal interest, we need to perform our duties and responsibilities with the highest degree of excellence, act with justice and sincerity and most of all respect the rights of the others”.

 

The activity ended with the mass recitation of the PNP Badge of Honor officiated by PCSUPT RONALD ROMERO ESTILLES, DRDA for the one hundred eighty- eight (188) newly graduates Police Officer 1(PO1) as a symbol of legal authority as a worthiness as a Police Officer to serve and protect the people. PNP Badge of Honor is pursuant to the provisions of National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Resolution Number 2001-055 dated August 7, 2001 entitled “Approving the Amendment of the New Standard Specifications for the use of the PNP Non-Commissioned Officers”.

Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City-President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III visited the province of Oriental Mindoro at about 10:00Am of August 29, 2014. He was welcomed by HON. ALFONSO V. The President arrived in Puerto Galera with Secretary Mar Roxas of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Secretary Rogelio Singson of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to visit ongoing infrastructure projects of the government in the province.

 

The proposed project in Mindoro is to link by land Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.  Based on the initial report of DPWH-Oriental Mindoro, there is already an approved alignment for the 20.33 km road amounting to P1.93 billion.  This project is for the Mindoro Island Circumferential Road – the Abra de Ilog and Puerto Galera sections.

 

According to the President, there is already a P6.1 billion pesos allotted by the national government to the province of Oriental Mindoro and P4.6 billion to Occidental Mindoro for the development of sea port of Calapan City and Bulalacao in Oriental Mindoro and San Jose in Occidental Mindoro and the development projects for the sea ports of Roxas and Bansud in Oriental Mindoro and Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro are already finished by now.

 

He also mentioned that the government has also completed flood control facilities in the municipalities of Pinamalayan and Bongabong and in Calapan City.

 

PNoy disclosed that in the proposed 2015 national budget, a total of 21 percent or P562.3 billion of such budget will go to infrastructure development of the entire country.

 

Aside from Puerto Galera, the President also went to Calapan City to grace the opening of the Governor Alfonso V Umali Jr. Shooting Cup at Camp Efigenio C. Navarro Firing Range.
 
151 New Police Officer 1’s took oath at PRO MIMAROPA PDF Print E-mail

Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City –On July 2, 2012 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning, oath_taking_july_2one hundred fifty one (151) new recruits composed of one hundred twenty eight (128) males and twenty three (23) females took their oath as Police Officer 1 (PO1) in simple ceremony held at PRO MIMAROPA Grandstand, Camp E. Navarro, Calapan City Oriental Mindoro.

 The said ceremony was attended by Dr. MARGARITA R MONTEMAYOR, Regional Director, NAPOLCOM, and was joined by PCSUPT ARTEMIO GONZALES HICBAN, Regional Director, PRO MIMAROPA, ably represented PCSUPT EDGAR LAYESE LAYON, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, together with the Command Group/Directorial Staff, media practitioners, parents/love ones of the new PO1’s`. PSSUPT MICHAEL ISHIBASHI BAYSA, Chief, Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Division presented the recruits to PCSUPT LAYON who then accepted and officiated their oath of office.
